Location Matters

All roads lead to and from the Adria

When location matters, Adria Hotel and Conference Center is the perfect location when you visit New York. Whether you travel for business or pleasure, Adria meets and exceeds many of the travelers needs. First, our deluxe accommodations are priced moderately saving you money. Second, we are near major New York airports and are easily accessible due to our proximity to many major roadways. Third,  while nestled in a tree-lined Bayside neighborhood, we are near some of the most exciting New York attractions and sports arenas. You are near Citi Field stadium for the NY Mets baseball, and the Arthur Ashe stadium for US Open tennis. You are within walking distance to some of Bayside's finest bars, restaurants and shops. The area’s rich ethnic diversity has nurtured a festive palette for interesting shopping and dining choices, while the young population now choosing Queens as home has helped create an array of pubs and bars. Major universities in Queens and neighboring Nassau County host events and seasonal cultural highlights. Visitors feel a New York welcome everywhere! Location matters where you can venture further—and beyond—New York’s boundaries. The Long Island Railroad whisks guests to historic sites along Long Island Sound and warm-weather beaches. You can be in Manhattan in less than 20 minutes to catch all the action and excitement of a city that never sleeps. Location matters in so many ways.

Shakespeare In The Garden: Henry IV (Part 1)

The Voelker Orth Museum’s garden is the perfect setting for Hip to Hip Theatre’s spirited, richly costumed, family-friendly and free productions of Shakespeare.

Prince Hal is caught between two worlds: In the tavern, he carouses with the scoundrel Falstaff, but at court, the King presses him to shoulder his responsibilities. Shakespeare’s action-packed coming-of-age story asks, “What makes a good leader?”

More on “Kids & the Classics”:

This 30-minute interactive workshop is offered one hour before the performance, and is designed for children ages 4 to 12. It gives children a chance to interact with the text through close reading that previews characters and situations, and by creating links with their own lives through theatre games.

Performances run approximately 90 minutes. They are cancelled in the event of rain.
